What's your photography style?
If we were watching a movie and we were looking for scenes to take screenshots of. That is how I shoot your wedding.
I shoot in a mixture of 3 styles of wedding photography: documentary, editorial, and modern. I am looking at the location, lighting, and what’s happening. I DON’T like to force poses. I like to have your photos as true to the day as I can make it be and If we need to pose, it would likely come from inspos or for any of your portraits.
I am not a traditional wedding photographer, Where your posed portraits are main priority on my shot list. Important? Yes, of course. Don’t get me wrong you want those.
Here is an example in where I may pose you; THE PHOTO below Was an inspo from “Scar Face”. one of my Couples had requested this. I absolutely Love stuff like that!
So if there is any movies, Art pieces, Themes, etc. Let me know, and I can implement it in to your photos!
OFC, I myself am an artist so naturally I create my own original Art that’s not really inspired by others. As I often look at the location, lighting, and what’s happening..
I love to take photos of silhouettes, shadows, and even small details most wouldn’t notice.

Where are you based?
I am based in Mcallen Tx. (The very bottom of texas.)
However with that said, I have shot in Laredo, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas.
Do you travel for weddings or elopements?
Absolutely… where were you??!! (Jack and Jill adam sandler… I know..)
I would be honored to travel beyond texas to be a part of your special day. I understand that a wedding is sacred and you don’t want just any Photographer shooting your wedding.
Is everything done in-house?
Yes, as of now every aspect is handled by yours truly Juan A. Perez Jr.
From communication, shooting, Editing.
So you can feel assured that when your wedding day arrives you have me, and not some other photographer. This actually being a reason my dates are limited, I don’t like to double book.
The only instance where its not just me is when there is video involved since naturally video requires someone solely focused on video or the scenario where I am unable to attend your wedding from an unfortunate circumstance.
Nonetheless, once your date is booked, I block it off from all other couples.
Do you charge any travel fees for destination weddings?
In addition to the base price of the photography collection you choose.
you’ll also cover airfare, car costs, and accommodations. I cover everything in between!
It’s essentially the main expenses required when traveling.
I don't know how to pose!
you bum! Nah, I’m playing. So good news, you’re normal. Lol.
Sooo… here’s a little secret on how I go about posing you. I try my best not to pose you. I might say something like, “Okay, let’s play a game…” In which, OFC, you have stuff to do with your hands. The only time I do pose y’all would be for any inspos you may have, or if certain styles require it.
Pretty much all the couples you see on my website or socials are not models, actors, or even trained to pose in photos. So yeah, you will absolutely be fine.
On a similar note, if there is any posing or directing, I avoid any lip contact till the very end of the session/directing. Because I don’t want to make your photos a whole make-out session, it’s weird. Haha. + This forces me to do much more creative shots, which is awesome for everyone, because we can all agree “cookie cutter” photos are lame. (Personal opinion.)
How do I receive my pictures?
You will be receiving your photos via an online gallery.
You will be getting two versions in your gallery.
1. True to life (color)
2. Black & White (B&W)

How long will my pictures take?
You will receive your whole gallery in 3-5 weeks. It typically depends on the season, The length of your wedding and/or engagement session. I intentionally have it so you get your photos fairly quickly. ( For many photographers its typically longer… months even..)
You can expedite your photo gallery for 2-3 day delivery for an extra charge. (OFC assuming we have availability to do that. Since some dates I may not have the time to edit your gallery.)
I will be keeping you updated on the progress of your galleries + You will have my personal number so if anything you can always call or text me! I do my very best to answer or respond as quickly as I can!
Do you cover video as well?
Yes, I cover video as well. OFC, when it comes to having photo/video, I naturally have another cinematographer or photographer to help me lead on your wedding day.
With all this said, whoever is with me helping document your wedding will be either at my level or better when it comes to shooting.
Your wedding happens only once! Because of that, we can’t afford having inexperienced people leading any important aspect of documenting your wedding.
